Adult Sunday School

Sunday School is the backbone of our church and it’s the best way to build relationships with other people. Our goal is to help people of all ages connect with God through His Word. Our teachers present God’s word to you in a way that will help you grow. Additionally, you will develop strong community within these groups. Most of our classes are organized around age and life stage, but we invite you to find the class that fits your needs. The best way to find a class at First Baptist is to visit our welcome center located between Boyce Chapel and the sanctuary. Look for signs on Hampton Street in front of the sanctuary.

Singles

First Singles is the place for you to find a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, lasting friendships with others, and a place of service in God’s Kingdom. Between our small groups and ministry-wide special events, you will be able to connect to a larger body of single adults in the Columbia area seeking God and striving to honor Christ.  Come see what First Singles has to offer you, and also what you might be able to offer back to God’s Kingdom!

In all the years of life, there is no greater time than now to make a positive impact on family, friends, and the society around us. As an older adult, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience that can be shared with those whom we come in contact with. We have the time and resources to give to meet those needs like no other generation can. Armed with the proper motivation, training and organization, this group can make a difference and leave a godly legacy that will inspire the generations
to come. The experts tell us that older adults are living longer today, and we believe that this is no accident. God is giving longer years of life so that His children may use their knowledge, experience, and wealth in ways that will strengthen the Church and bring greater glory to God.
Here at FBC, we want our Senior Adult Ministry to be the best it can be and we want to help you be, the best you can be for the glory of God. We encourage you to choose an area of ministry where you might fit. As you grow in spiritual maturity and give yourself by serving others through the church, you will reap blessing of eternal value. We invite you to join us as we seek to build up one another and invite others to join us in walking with Christ.

Let’s face it, digital technology can be frustrating, intimidating, and very complicated. It would be much easier to throw it out a window then to sit down and solve all it’s problems. But before you trash your gadget let me reassure you that you can be the master of your computer, tablet, and mobile phone. You just have to change your perspective and be willing to learn some new tricks. Instead of giving up on technology or settling for it’s problems learn how to navigate around them.

At our tech conference this fall we will give you a basic understand of how computers work. We will teach you tips and tools that you can use to avoid computer problems and solve them when they arise. We will walk you through some basic functions for operating your device and show you how to accomplish your digital goals. Finally we will equip you with valuable resources to empower you to tackle any and all computer problems you have in the future. Becoming the master of your device is easier than you think.
