Gift to the Christmas Store
This Christmas season we are partnering with Refuge Detroit Church to help host a Christmas Store for the children of Maybury Elementary School located in Detroit, Michigan. The concept is simple enough. People shop online to buy gifts for the store and the store sells those gifts at a discounted affordable price to the parents.
But some of you may be wondering, why not just give the gifts to these parents for free? Well, Refuge Detroit Church believes that selling the gifts allows these parents some basic dignity and pride. By providing the gifts for their own children they experience feelings of joy and freedom. They don’t have to feel guilty for not having the money to buy Christmas presents for their kids because now they can afford them. We understand this, which is why we are excited to help give gifts that impact an entire family. We hope you’ll join with us and help buy gifts for the Christmas Store.

3. Pray for the families of Maybury Elementary School
Please pray that Jesus would be the hero, not us, and that people will have the opportunity to know him through our service and our faithful gospel proclamation. Please pray that we have enough gifts to bless these families with Christmas gifts, but also that God would bless them eternally with the ultimate Christmas gift of knowing Jesus Himself.
