God’s Salvation – Part 3

Lesson Originally Delivered on 2/18

Here are some takeaways from the lesson:

  • Since we have been justified
    • We have peace – Through Christ’s death and resurrection, we can be rightly related to God
    • God’s reconciliation is unlike human reconciliation – only we have transgressed
      • In our sin, we are the ones who run. Yet it is God who reconciles us to Himself
  • We are in a state of grace
    • Ephesians 2:18, 3:12
      • We’ve been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of his son
    • Hebrews 10:19-22
      • Even in suffering, we can hope in God’s promise
        • That hope becomes a testimony of God’s love to the world
    • God’s love goes beyond our own, because Christ died for the unworthy
    • Since we have been reconciled, let us live as free people
  • Adam and Christ
    • Adam sinned, and through it, death entered the world. However, we’re all just as guilty
    • Christ brings grace and grace is greater than sin.
    • Grace leads to righteousness
