Structured Intervention Treatment Foster Care - Lunch & Learn
Come learn about The Bair Foundation's evidenced based treatment model, Structured Intervention Treatment Foster Care. The SITFC model is a compilation of strategies, practices, and skills which enhance the efforts of both staff and foster parents to provide high quality, effective services to children in care. The SITFC model encompasses six key components: Preparation for Placement, Effective Service Planning, Placement Stability, Developing Competencies, Seeing the Opportunity in Crisis, and Resiliency. These six components of the SITFC model clearly articulate The Bair Foundation's standard for foster care. Building on the strengths of our families and staff, we have created a trauma informed, evidence-based framework for working within the context of foster care. Providing structured interventions from the moment the referral is made and continuing through the entire length of placement will positively impact the child's ability to enhance their skills and improve their interactions with others. Problem behaviors will decrease and positive behaviors will increase, changing their future outlook and providing them with the resilience to cope with the struggles of daily life as they move toward independence. CEU's are available. Lunch will be provided if you pre-register by September 18. Minimum of 10 participants pre-registered to hold the class.
