The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer
Leader: Teresa Milne

Start Date: January 21 (7 weeks)

This study is more than a biblical description of the believer’s inventory. It is an action plan for putting on your armor and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory against the enemy!

Joy in the Word – Meets from 6:45- 7:45 PM

Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges
Leader: Deb McQuilkin (Meet in Debbie Sims’ home)
Start Date: February 1 (12 weeks)

As Christians, we believe that all sins are considered equal in God’s eyes. Yet while evangelicals continue to decry the Big Ones—such as abortion, adultery, and violence—we often overlook more deceptive sins. In short, some sins have simply become acceptable. Our culture has lost the concept of sin, and the church faces the same danger. This study encourages a victory over personal sin through the gospel’s transforming power; the perfect release for those who desire to thoughtfully examine their lives and discover a deeper walk with God. Call 315-5959 for more information.

Men getting REAL with God, their families, and other men.

Come participate in a discipleship group that focuses on God’s will for men. As we read the Bible, it is clear that God wants to use men in the role of leadership to accomplish specific purposes. From the beginning of our existence the enemy has attempted to thwart God’s plans for mankind as a whole. He has specifically targeted men and their relationships with people and with God. God’s word is a rich and vast resource that speaks to every issue that challenges men. It is imperative that we as REAL Christian men disciple, walk, and pray with each other to ensure that we live and exemplify the men God has called us to be.

“So, naturally, we proclaim Christ! We warn every man we meet, and we teach every man we can, all that we know about Him, so that, if possible, we may bring every man up to his full maturity in Christ Jesus.” -The Apostle Paul

Leader: Rev. Richard Humphries
Room: Ellis Hall
Study: Deuteronomy: A Challenge to a New Generation
Start Date: January 20th
Length: 8 weeks
Breakfast: $5,  Books: $8 – available in the church office.

The Book of Deuteronomy contains Moses’ final messages to the people of Israel as they prepared to move into the Promised Land. Moses proclaimed God as a compassionate God who calls His people to reflect His character and warned the Hebrews of the consequences of failing to follow God’s standards. Believers today have the same obligation of living in light of the character of God. This study will identify ways God calls His people to be set apart and holy, reflecting His character in this fallen world.
