Prayer at First

Welcome to the new prayer page for First Baptist Church! If you are looking for the live stream prayer meeting, please keep scrolling down. We invite you to explore this page and discover the new tools that we have for our church family to be connected through prayer to each other and to the Lord. Here you can submit prayer requests and view requests of others. Let them know that you are praying for them by clicking the “I prayed for this” button.
We believe that prayer is the most powerful and effective thing that we can do in order to see change in our circumstances, others, and our world. Let’s lift each other up and and share our requests and praises here.
Fill out the form below. You can choose to have your request shared online with your name, shared online anonymously, or keep it private completely. After submitting your request, it will be moderated and posted after moderation. Requests posted on weekends or holidays may experience some delays in posting.
Private requests will only be shared with our prayer team and will remain confidential.
If your prayer request has been answered, or if you have updates to it, please let us know by e-mailing apriladams@fbccola.com with your updates.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like! Alan Wilson.

Pray for Brian & Katherine they need someone to come to their house and watch their infant child who has downs. They both decided and made a choice for Katherine to go back to work 3 days a week and Brian works from home.God give them wisdom and place the right person to watch their baby.At the moment a family member is watching her now does no mind but he does not want to make this a every week thing he too has a job.I pray that they will not take advantage of him and make every effort and be diligent in finding someone. At this moment he has to work his schedule around the days Katherine works. This family member is always helping out family and friends and I know there are times they take him for granted. They may not even be trying to find anyone and will just have him do this every week. They made their choice and it looks like they are making him their choice.Pray God will send someone of his choosing to watch their daughter. Please pray regarding an unspoken request - God knows. Please also pray for lasting peace with God and an abundance of God’s redeeming love and grace. Please pray that God would renew me and strengthen me. Pray that God would help me in my career and give me favor with people. Finally pray that God would help me overcome health issues in my life. please pray for my husband and I to have our first baby together I have only one fallopian tube open and I do not ovulate on a regular basis and I cannot become pregnant. Please stand in agreement with me that Sarah Jane will immediately get her menstrual cycle, this very second, and will continue to get it regularly and healthfully, and that whatever is causing it to stop is purged out of Sarah Jane and healed now, hallelujah I believe, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Please pray form my Uncle Keith. He is a diabetic and as been told recently he needs some surgery on both of his feet. He has been referred to a specialist, and they think the situation is manageable, but there is a slight chance of amputation, and the situation is complicated by his having several other health concerns. Being a person of strong faith, he has been holding up well but is understandably very worried.
Thank you. Update & Praise Report
Can you please pray for my sister-in-law Tammie? She has brain cancer and started chemo & radiation on February 7. Her chance of recovery was recently upgraded from 25% to 50% but she is entering the dangerous phase of her treatment where a 20% chance of stroke is possible due to the radiation coming closer to the brain. Treatments are scheduled to continue through March 25.
Tammie is from Foley, AL but is receiving treatment at the UF College of Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Her doctor is Dr. Michael Okun, and we ask for prayer for him and his team, as well as they guide Tammie through her treatments.
Tammie is a Christian & she loves the Lord! Thank you so much for your prayers! Please pray for my friend's dad, Earl Turner who had a tooth pulled 3 days ago and is still bleeding. He went to the E.R. Pray the Lord provides wisdom tfor the doctors so they and treat him and Yeshua will heal him. Pray for peace and healing for him,his wife and his family.Anonymous
