How to Save The World In 3 Simple Steps

As we watch devastation around the world unfold on all of the many news mediums and deal with our own personal storms, we question if there’s a solution to the madness. I wrote in the previous post about finding our hope, peace, strength, and solution in Christ. I had begun to write a second part that contained more actionable steps, but for clarity and length decided to leave it out of that post and make it a separate one.

God is the great Author and He has given us the privilege of being a part of His great Story. He could leave us out of it. He could exist apart from this story, but He’s chosen to write this one and make us active participants, not just spectators. As part of His story, we’re charged to tell of the good news of salvation, love our neighbors, and relieve suffering. Yes, there’s conflict. That’s part of what makes a story. Characters have obstacles that they must overcome to achieve goals. In order to achieve our goals of loving others and spreading the gospel, here are three things that we can do.

  “ I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord.” (1 Cor. 7:32-35)
