Choirs

 "Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God,

The Children’s Choir ministry of First Baptist Church is the foundation of a strong and vital
worship and music ministry. Our focus is to teach children spiritual and musical concepts
that will enrich and enhance their walk with the LORD and their participation in praising and
worshipping Him.

Children have the opportunity to grow musically
and in worship leadership, through singing in
worship services, participation in musical and
special events, and innovative, fun and creative
classroom activities.

Choirs are offered for children from age 3 - 5th grade
 on Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:40pm.  

Parents can register their children by calling the Music Office at 803.343.8550. 

Middle School Choir rehearses on Sunday afternoons at 5:00pm 
in the Choir Room. If you are in grades 6-8 come check out the Middle School Choir!

The Xpraise Choir is led by Rev. Keith Watson.

The First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir is a group of singers, 250 strong, from all walks of life
who join together for the purpose of giving glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Led by Rev. Steve Phillips, the choir sings regularly for Sunday morning services as well as some
special Sunday evening services.
Weekly rehearsals are held every Wednesday night in the Choir Room from 6:45pm to 8:00pm.

In addition to Sunday mornings, the Sanctuary Choir sings in several special productions
throughout the year, including the Carolina Celebration of Liberty, and the Columbia Christmas Pageant. People from all backgrounds and abilities are invited to come join and be a part of the Sanctuary Choir. From the first time you attend a rehearsal you will feel like you are among family.

The Sr. Adult Choir meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00am in the Choir Room.
They sing for OASIS and Sunday morning worship services.
The choir also enjoys monthly luncheon outings and sings several times
throughout the year for nursing homes and for other Sr. Adult events around Columbia.
The Sr. Adult Choir is led by Rev.Keith Watson.
