Graduate Sunday

The First Baptist Church family will be recognizing high school and college seniors during the service on April 30, 2023. Each graduate will have the opportunity to walk across the platform to introduce him/herself and share any plans they have for after high school (college choice, military, job, missions, etc.). All high school graduates will wear their caps and gowns, or other graduation attire, and sit at the front of the church during the service.

Rehearsal for Graduate Recognition will be that morning (April 30) at 8:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

Please carefully iron your gown and bring it with your cap to rehearsal. We will give each of you a chance to rehearse what you plan to say from the platform and then we will take a Senior Class picture on the platform steps.

After rehearsal we will go to 1420 for breakfast before the service begins.

We also are excited to invite seniors and their families to a Senior Celebration on May 21st at 6:00pm at 1420 Sumter St. We will provide dinner, celebrate meaningful moments throughout the seniors’ time in FSM, present a charge to the seniors, and worship together.
