Prayer at First

Welcome to the new prayer page for First Baptist Church! If you are looking for the live stream prayer meeting, please keep scrolling down. We invite you to explore this page and discover the new tools that we have for our church family to be connected through prayer to each other and to the Lord. Here you can submit prayer requests and view requests of others. Let them know that you are praying for them by clicking the “I prayed for this” button.

We believe that prayer is the most powerful and effective thing that we can do in order to see change in our circumstances, others, and our world. Let’s lift each other up and and share our requests and praises here.

Fill out the form below. You can choose to have your request shared online with your name, shared online anonymously, or keep it private completely. After submitting your request, it will be moderated and posted after moderation. Requests posted on weekends or holidays may experience some delays in posting.

Private requests will only be shared with our prayer team and will remain confidential.

If your prayer request has been answered, or if you have updates to it, please let us know by e-mailing apriladams@fbccola.com with your updates.

You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like!

Greetings from Athens, Greece. We hope you had a fantastic Easter! This coming Sunday is Greek Easter and we are looking forward to celebrating with friends. This prayer request is for tomorrow. For the first time in nearly two years there will be an outside pastor allowed into the nursing home. I began working on having a Good Friday-Easter Sunday communion service during Holy Week. The leadership was convinced and with appropriate Covid precautions in place, we will have the service tomorrow. The visiting pastor is our pastor here in Athens. He fit us in although he has to conduct a Bible study/prayer meeting this evening, then preach both Friday and Sunday. Please pray for George and for my dear senior adults at the nursing home. They are excited about this special service. Keep praying for us also as we labor here, I at the nursing home and Lee Ann with the downtown homeless ministry.

Love in Jesus,

Randy and Lee Ann (in Athens)

Please pray for my sister and her husband. She turned 54 yesterday and for the last few years has chosen to live on the streets. I’m sure drugs are involved. She talks to everyone she meets. She’s made “friends” who check on her. Pray she meets someone and she opens her eyes. She is on disability. She has 3 adult kids and one grandchild.
