Prayer at First

Welcome to the new prayer page for First Baptist Church! If you are looking for the live stream prayer meeting, please keep scrolling down. We invite you to explore this page and discover the new tools that we have for our church family to be connected through prayer to each other and to the Lord. Here you can submit prayer requests and view requests of others. Let them know that you are praying for them by clicking the “I prayed for this” button.
We believe that prayer is the most powerful and effective thing that we can do in order to see change in our circumstances, others, and our world. Let’s lift each other up and and share our requests and praises here.
Fill out the form below. You can choose to have your request shared online with your name, shared online anonymously, or keep it private completely. After submitting your request, it will be moderated and posted after moderation. Requests posted on weekends or holidays may experience some delays in posting.
Private requests will only be shared with our prayer team and will remain confidential.
If your prayer request has been answered, or if you have updates to it, please let us know by e-mailing apriladams@fbccola.com with your updates.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like! A new friend’s wife has rectal cancer. She already has had chemo and planned surgery scheduled for the Monday after Thanksgiving. Thank you for praying Please pray for my elderly father. He has congestive heart failure and struggles with fluid building up in his body. He has been home about a month from rehab and we are starting to feel like the fluid is coming back. Please pray that there is something that can be done to help him without it getting to the point of requiring a hospital stay. Also, please pray for comfort for him, that his kidneys & heart are functioning okay, healing for his wounds, and that his shortness of breath improves. Please pray for strength and wisdom as we care for him. Thank you so much! I am having a heart ablation in Greenville on Monday the 15th. Prayers are appreciated. my son, Robert, has Multiply Myeloma. he has been on chemo therapy for 14 months, waiting to go to the Vanderbilt VA hospital for a Stem Cell Transplant. Prayer for my adult don and his wife to show forgiveness to me Moma A friend of mine, who lived in my apartment complex, took her own life last Friday. She mostly kept to herself. Her name was Rachel. Her next door neighbor is named Dave. He would check on her every day. Please pray for him, as he is feeling guilty that he couldn't do more for her. Dave is a Christian. He does a lot of good things for others including me. Thank you. Linda and I are monthly givers to FBCOLA. Our daughter, Tazia attended there while attending USC. We try not to miss your Sunday service on the web. We both met the Lord as adults in the fall of 1981. Linda has been diagnosed with Lymphoma and is undergoing a heavy schedule of biopsies and surgery this week. She survived lymphoma in 2004. Indeed we have witnessed God's miracles. I ask that you would pray for us. I am not 100% because of an auto accident and our dependable transportation was totaled. Thank you for agreeing with us in prayer for our needs. I am overwhelmed and discouraged. I am teaching 3rd grade in person for the first time and am struggling with several issues including class management. Could you just pray for me and for my students. Can you especially pray for one student, Stephon. I also have a really long commute and I am exhausted all the time. I need a job closer to where I live next year. I just need to make it to the end of the year with fairly good evaluations so I can get a job next year closer to my home. Thank you. Please pray for me. I have to save all the time. I cannot allow myself to have bath every time I need it, and many other things. Let God help according to His will.Douglas Fore
