Reading Buddies

Volunteers Needed

Reading Buddies is a special ministry at Saluda River Academy for the Arts (SRAA) where adults meet with children to help them practice and develop their reading skills. Reading Buddies go to the school once a week and are assigned to a classroom for about 30 minutes. You will be assigned 2 or 3 students to listen to them read or read to them. This is a tangible way to show the love of Jesus and make an impact on a child as well as be a witness to the teachers and entire school community. This is a year-long commitment and the kids look forward to their buddies coming every week.
