Friday, August 22  ||  Welcome Team/Greeters for Ezekiel Ministries Back to School Bash at FBC  ||  6 spots available for this event

Go here to register for the Ezekiel Ministries Back to School Bash

Ezekiel Ministries mentors children from hard places in partnership with the local church. This project would be a chance for mentors, mentees and the afterschool programs to come together and have a fun night, eat dinner and hear an encouraging word from the Bible. Our volunteers will welcome guests entering the EFLC and direct them to the Back to School bash.

Friday and Saturday, August 22 and 23  ||  Housewarming Event for International Teachers at Spring Valley Baptist  ||  20 spots available for this event

Go here to register for the Housewarming Event

In response to growing teacher shortages, Richland County school districts have recruited educators from around the world for several years. These international teachers often arrive with just two suitcases, limited funds, and without their families, facing the daunting challenge of adjusting to a new culture and community with minimal support. Volunteers are needed throughout the weekend to haul, sort, and set up items on Friday; manage logistics and assist guests on Saturday; and deliver furniture and other claimed items on Saturday afternoon. Beyond meeting urgent physical needs, this project opens doors to meaningful relationships and offers a chance to extend the love of Christ to international teachers, school district leaders, and staff throughout the community.

Saturday, August 23  ||  Hall Psychiatric Hospital Day Room Painting  ||  9 spots available for this event

Go here to register for the Psychiatric Hospital Painting Event

William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute serves as South Carolina’s state psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, ages 4 to 17, who are at serious risk of harming themselves or others. Volunteers will bring comfort and dignity to these young lives by painting patient day rooms and bedrooms. These spaces have not been updated in over a decade and are beginning to show signs of wear. A fresh coat of paint can help create a more peaceful, welcoming environment, one that communicates to each child that they are seen, valued, and worthy of beautiful surroundings.
