FirstKids exists to introduce and foster a growing love for Jesus through fun, worship, and adult mentorship desiring that every child is seen, known, loved.

Join us

Sunday morning small groups: 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM

Wednesday evenings FirstKids choirs and Discipleship : 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

We offer children's Sunday School every week for babies through fifth grade.

Sundays

9:15 AM – Sunday School

Wednesdays

6 PM – Midweek JAM

The Firstkids mission is to create fun, safe environments where kids anticipate their experience each week. It is our belief that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. Therefore, it is our desire to come alongside parents in the efforts and equip them as spiritual leaders in the home.

In most all of our meeting times, kids will be grouped with peers of similar age and guided through large group/small groups emphasizing the inerrancy of scripture, the person and character of Jesus, and the application of christian principles in their daily life.

The Parent Cue is a website geared to the support of your family and you as parents. On this site, you will find reading and resources that encourage you, inspire you, and help you lead your family well. The goal of Parent Cue is simply to help you with what you need, when you need it, so you can be the parent you want to be.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unless otherwise noted, FirstKids activities take place in the children’s center, which is on the ground floor of the sanctuary building. Entrances to FirstKids are located on Marion Street and Hampton street. Enter at the Marion Street awning or ramp next to the Sanctuary steps.

As a first time guest, you can expect to be greeted by a member of our team and guided through our welcome/check in process. We will gather a little bit of information about your family and walk you and your kids to their small groups. We employ a security system check in and out with name tags and claim numbers for each child of your family.

If you are a regular attender, you can expect the same warm welcome and the chance to ask any questions you may have regarding your attendance that day, and check in your child for their small groups at the stations located in the lobby.

We have a stable of wonderful volunteers and staff who will care for and educate your preschooler during any church wide programming. They will be grouped according to developmental stage (babies/toddlers) and/or age (ages 2-4).

For children birth to aged 3, we offer extended care during the main worship service from 10:15 to 11:30 each Sunday morning. If you have children older than 3, they will join you in the worship service on Sunday morning.

Wednesday evenings we offer the same care for your children between 5:45 -7:30PM

Please supply any special instruction (feeding, allergy, etc) to the volunteer in the room when you check in. Also, please be sure to pack any supplies that will be needed (diaper, pacifier, bottle with water, juice, or formula, etc) to care for your child. If you are nursing your child, we provide a private space for this purpose, on your schedule. We do offer simple snacks of saltine crackers and water from time to time. If you provide a snack for your child, we ask that it be free of peanuts.

It is our desire to provoke discovery with our elementary kids. And we help the kids experience and own three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:

I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Music, storytelling, small group discussions, video presentations, and creative activities are woven together to reinforce one clear and simple bottom line each week that kids take home to remember what matters most.

Unless otherwise arranged, check in begins 15 minutes prior to start of programming. We ask that you pick up your children within 15 minutes after the end of any children’s programming.
