Please pray for my mom Leslie. She is currently going through chemo to make sure her cancer doesn’t come back. Please pray that everything will be well for her and that Jesus Christ in His grace and mercy will continue to help her and heal her. The Lord has been with her.
I also wanted to ask if you would please pray for the family of a friend who passed away. His name was Kip and he was also an elder at my church. He died suddenly and his family is devastated and in shock. Please pray for all of them.
The last request I wanted to share is about something that I struggle with. I struggle a lot with being single and I truly desire to be married. I worry a lot that I will never get married and I need God’s mercy and help with finding the right Christian lady to marry. I really do desire a marriage that is blessed by God, Proverbs 18:22. Please pray that Jesus Christ in His grace and mercy will help me find and marry a wife who is beautiful to me, the helpmeet who is right and best for me. Please pray that Jesus Christ will help me be a good husband. Thank you. May God bless you.
I deal with a lot of health battles, one of them is a seizure disorder that I deal with daily. I finally have an in hospital EEG test 5/4/21 that can last 3-7 days. We are hoping to find out where the seizures are coming from in my brain, also find a medication that works. I am on 3 now maxed doses for over 2 years that don’t work. They are getting worse. I’ve already had part of my brain removed due to a Chiari Malformation, a shunt put in due to hydrocephalus and two major cervical spinal issues. I live in excruciating pain daily . I am only 46 and a mom of 4. Please pray the Dr.’s are able to figure it out with Gods help and help me finally. I am so tired . I love first Baptist . I get to watch on TV for now until I can drive again. Other churches with the music volume and the lights bring on my seizures . First Baptist is just like the church I grew up in and would love to bring my family here , and praying from my husband down that they would all decide to finally be baptized as they have all accepted Jesus as their lord and savior . Life is scary sometimes and if I don’t ever get to see anything else my biggest wish is to see my family baptized. Thank you. Thank you for your messages every week. I post them on FB and share with friends . Pastor Wes you always hit the nail on the head with the messages you prepare . Thank you and the church for all you do.
Dear First Baptist church of Columbia sc,
Wes and choirs,
Hi this is Jennifer Watts from gaffney sc, i lost one bff to covid in February this year and then i lost another bff just a few months apart. We went to one memorial service, it was the hardest thing ever because i never got to say goodbye in person. So please pray for me and their families one was named Brooke Haulbrooks wyatt, my bff from jr high until that horrible covid took her life at age 39,then i lost one more my age 41. I have talked to Kathy and Natalie Knotts about it. We know where the beacon restaurant is. We are mourning and grieving the best we can, but i am sad missing them. I never got to say goodbye to my other Bff named Lynn, because we were in Bristol tn for Easter, and i regretted not going. I just looked up Gaffney sc obituaries there it was. my sister lives in Australia and my brother is in Knoxville tennessee. But they couldn’t come. On our way to the beach we go to Lizard’s thicket to eat lunch. Please pray for me and the loss of my sweet friends that meant so much to me. I understand it was their time to go,but it hurts. It shook me to the core,i struggle getting through it.
Love,
Jennifer

Thank you all for those who have been praying for my son William. He moved out of state and started a new job and was having a hard time adjusting. Each day gets a little better, his confidence is building up and he is becoming more comfortable with his boss and co-workers. Pray that he continues to look to the cross for his problems and that God continues to bless him. God is and awesome and loving GOD!! God Bless!
Please pray for my daughter who went to the ER last night with extremely dangerously high blood pressure. Pray for her doctors to find a solution for her.
