In this class we will explore 1) An explanation of the general types of diabetes (type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes- – -and the newest type of diabetes: type 3 diabetes). 2) The “five skills for successful prevention and/or management of diabetes – – -and how easy they can be to follow! 3) The effects of diabetes on all parts of the body and possible long term complications of uncontrolled diabetes on the body. 4) “Success stories” obtained from working with patients who chose to make the choice to prevent or manage their pre-existing diabetes.
